About Me

My name is Arielle Lohmeyer. I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and am certified through ASHA (the American Speech Language and Hearing Association). I began my career as an SLP in May of 2016. I received my bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University and my master’s degree at Utah State University. I have worked as a pediatric SLP in both medical and school fields. Learn More

  • First session—evaluation, get to know child, determine best course of intervention

  • 45-minute sessions, $60 per session

  • Most frequent treatment plans: once a week or every other week. Other plans may be decided upon as needed

  • Sessions take place in my home in Riverton, licensed for speech therapy

  • I do not bill insurance, all sessions are self-pay

Although some entities that offer speech therapy services require the child to qualify for the services by scoring within a certain range on standardized tests or other measures, I do not base my determination of a child’s needs in this way. I listen to the parents’ concerns (parental instincts are critical!) and look at the child as a whole and determine the impact that the child’s delays are having on his or her life. If there is a need, I can address it in any way that we, parent and therapist together, believe will benefit the child and produce the best results.

  • Therapy sessions take place in my home, which has been licensed for speech therapy private practice.

  • The first session: You and your child will come to my home, and I will spend time getting to know you and your child and determining your child’s needs.

  • Based on your child’s needs, we will decide on a treatment plan that works best for you. The most common treatment plans are one session per week or one session every other week. Occasionally less severe language delays may only require once per month, or more severe apraxia or speech sound disorders might have the recommendation of twice a week.

  • Speech therapy sessions last 45 minutes—30-40 minutes working directly with the child, 5-15 minutes discussing home practice with parent

  • Price: $60 per session, unless your child requires multiple session in a single week. For these children I generally charge $90 per week. I cannot bill insurance, so all sessions need to be self-pay. However, I work hard not to raise my prices as much as possible in order to keep speech therapy affordable for families.
